Baby Hou vs. California Carpool
Posted in General | 1 Comment »As usual, we were emailing back and forth on littleQQ on what to do for the weekend, and somehow Vivian was jokingly venting our baby Hou still can’t help her legally drive in the carpool lane. So, the all wise Jason forward this…

There was a case years ago. A pregnant woman was pulled over for driving solo in the carpool lane. She defended herself in the court, brought in expert witnesses (doctors) and they all contest that the baby in her womb is indeed a “living person” and that medically she is “two” people. At the end, the judge ruled in favor of the pregnant woman and voided that carpool lane violation.
Just when the pregnant woman cheers in triumph, the judge ask the court to be in order and then proceeded to give the pregnant woman two new citations – driving while more than one person was in the driver seat, and more than one person shared a seat belt while the car was in motion. These are much more severe citations compared to the carpool lane violation.
So Vivian, don’t try. Zinzin, don’t encourage her.
